Eros Media LLC ("Eros Media," "Satinaire," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Satinaire mobile application (the "Service"), an AI-generated romance and fantasy fiction platform. "Satinaire" is the name of the app and associated brand; Eros Media LLC is the legal operating entity. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Service. By using Satinaire, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

• Email address used to create your account
• Display name and optional profile picture
• Date of birth, if you provide one — optional at signup, and collected only when you attempt to access content restricted to users 18 or older (spice-level 4 and higher, and explicit genre categories)
• Authentication identifiers when you sign in via third-party providers (e.g., Apple, Google)

Reading & Usage Data

• Stories you read, save, like, or rate
• Reading progress, chapter completion, and bookmarks
• Time spent in the app and feature interactions
• Content preferences, genre selections, and personalization choices
• Search queries entered within the app

Purchase & Subscription Data

• Records of in-app purchases, virtual coin balances, and subscription status
• Transaction identifiers from Apple App Store or Google Play (we do not store full payment card information; payment processing is handled entirely by the platform store)

Device & Technical Data

• Device model, operating system, and app version
• Language and region settings
• Anonymized crash reports and diagnostic logs
• IP address and approximate location derived from it (country/region only)
• Push notification tokens, if you opt in to notifications

We do not collect precise GPS location, contacts, microphone audio, or health data.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and maintain your account
• Personalize story recommendations and discovery feeds
• Sync your reading progress across sessions and devices
• Process in-app purchases and manage virtual currency balances
• Send transactional notifications (chapter unlocks, timer expirations, account updates)
• Send optional engagement notifications (new releases, streak reminders) if you opt in
• Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and policy violations
• Improve content quality, model output, and app performance
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We rely on a small number of vetted service providers to operate Satinaire. These providers process data only on our behalf and under contractual confidentiality and security obligations:

• Google Firebase (authentication, Firestore database, cloud storage, analytics, crash reporting)
• Google Cloud Platform (hosting, image storage, content delivery)
• Replicate (AI image generation infrastructure)
• OpenRouter and underlying model providers (AI text generation for stories)
• ElevenLabs (AI text-to-speech narration)
• Apple App Store and Google Play (payment processing and subscription management)
• Expo / EAS (app build, update, and push notification delivery)
• Unity Ads (rewarded ad delivery for free chapter unlocks)

We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

4. AI-Generated Content

Satinaire uses generative AI models to produce stories, illustrations, and narration. Prompts you submit (such as custom story creation requests) may be transmitted to AI providers for processing. We do not knowingly send sensitive personal information to AI providers, and we instruct providers not to use submitted content to train their public models where such an option is available.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Reading progress and preferences are retained to provide a continuous experience. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (for example, financial records related to purchases) or necessary to resolve disputes and enforce agreements.

6. Security

We employ industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, restricted access controls, and regular security review. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

Satinaire is rated 17+ in the app stores. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age under applicable law, such as 16 in some EU jurisdictions). Some content within the Service (spice-level 4 and higher, and explicit genre categories) is further restricted to users 18 and older and is only made available after age verification based on a self-reported date of birth. If we learn that we have collected information from a child below the applicable minimum age, we will delete that information promptly. Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided us with information should contact us using Section 13.

8. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
• Delete your account and associated personal information
• Export a copy of your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent for optional processing (such as marketing notifications)
• Object to or restrict certain processing

9. GDPR Notice (EEA, UK, Switzerland)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent laws. Our legal bases for processing are:

• Performance of a contract (providing the Service)
• Legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, product improvement)
• Consent (optional notifications, analytics where required)
• Legal obligation (tax, accounting, regulatory compliance)

You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We will respond to verified rights requests within 30 days.

10. CCPA Notice (California Residents)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) provide you with the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete personal information, the right to correct inaccurate information, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights.

We do not sell your personal information as the term "sell" is defined under the CCPA. To exercise your California rights, contact us using the information in Section 13.

11. International Data Transfers

Satinaire is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. We use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for cross-border transfers from the EEA, UK, and Switzerland.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email and update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
